About Me
Cassie Hillis, a graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia, has worked as a Graphic Designer since 1992. She started drawing as a child and picked up the paintbrush in art school…and hasn’t put it down since. Her profession has taken her to Philadelphia, PA, London, England, and Los Angeles, CA, where she has designed for Comcast, DuPont, Fox Searchlight Pictures, and SAP to name a few. While living in these places she was also exposed to a savory collection of art, both in graphic design and fine art. More recently she has gotten into the back-end of things with Ruby on Rails development in creating web 2.0 applications, though she is more focused on front-end design and CSS styles.
In 2006, Hillis won the Emerging Artist Fellowship of 2006 from the Delaware Division of the Arts. Her work has been presented in solo and group shows in Philadelphia, PA, Wilminton, DE, Rehoboth Beach, DE, Milton, DE, and Berlin, MD. She has studied under Roger Dellar, an impressionist artist from England, and under Eo Omwake of Chadds Ford, PA, whose work is impregnated with the energy of abstraction.
